How to use Heartgard for Dogs

If you would like to know how to use heartgard for dogs I will answer your questions here. All you have to do is give your dog the pill on the same day of every month. Say you give the dog the first pill on the 8th of February. You would give them the pill on the 8th of every month thereafter.

You can give them the pill with food or by itself. Just make sure that he/she actually swallows it. That is why I prefer to mix it with food. They will chew it up and swallow it along with food so there is less chance of them throwing it back up.

If they do throw the pill back up you may need to give them another one. Make sure you call your vet in this case though, because they know best.
